自下第二廣顯雙益。於中有二：一明二行相資之益、二「修是二法調攝根」下趣果之益。前中，初言「具二大益」總以標舉，「定智」列名。「如刈」已下八番廣辨，皆初立喻、後約顯法。八中初三離過行中明相資助，次一就其攝善行中明相資助，次一復就離過行中明相資助，後三復就攝善行中明相資助。「以是」下結。

From here below, the second part broadly demonstrates the benefits of both. Herein there are two: first, it clarifies the benefit of the mutual support between the two practices; second, from "Cultivating these two dharmas regulates and restrains the sense faculties..." downward, it explains the benefit of proceeding toward the fruit. In the first, the opening words "possessing both brings great benefit" serve as a general heading, and "concentration and wisdom" lists their names. From "Like harvesting..." downward, there are eight sections of broad discrimination, all of which first establish a simile and afterward apply it to explain the doctrine. Among the eight, the first three clarify mutual support in the practice of leaving faults; the next one clarifies mutual support in the practice of gathering wholesome qualities; the next one again clarifies mutual support in the practice of leaving faults; the last three again clarify mutual support in the practice of gathering wholesome qualities. From "Because of this..." downward is the conclusion.
