The above was the first part, teaching and indicating the Three Refuges, which is the beginning of entry; next is the second part, teaching their Middle Way, which is the consummation of entry. Therein, first it teaches by means of a doctrinal exposition; from 'as based on milk' onward, it teaches by means of metaphors. In the doctrinal exposition there are four sections: first, promising to teach the entry; second, from 'if self abides' onward, directly teaching the entry; third, from 'self and selflessness are non-dual in nature' onward, concluding with an encouragement to accept and uphold it; fourth, from 'I previously, in' onward, citing teachings to confirm and establish it. First, 'I now shall further teach you the entry into the tathāgatagarbha' promises to teach the entry; 'further' is said in contrast to what came before; because the further teaching comes afterward, it says 'shall'; detailed exposition is called 'well'; revealing the real to enable realization is called teaching the entry into the garbha.
