1.20

同皆見聞常住聲光為如，非餘方便之聞，故是同聞最後問答常命色力安無礙辯，同聞拘耶直繩之行，同聞西海祕藏之義，同聞邪惡有佛性用，是為同聞眾通序五章。

Together seeing and hearing the sound and light of permanent abiding is 'Thus', not being heard by other skillful means; therefore, it is hearing together the final questions and answers on permanent life, physical color, strength, and peaceful, unhindered eloquence; hearing together the practice straight as a cord in Godānīya; hearing together the meaning of the secret treasury in the western sea; and hearing together the function of the buddhadhātu in the heterodox and evil. This is how the assembly that heard together commonly prefaces all five chapters.
