力士生地者，人中力士力敵千人，凡三十萬，共為群黨無所臣屬，以法自持亦不暴亂，即士人也，故言生地。

'Birthplace of the Mallas': The Mallas among men had the strength to match a thousand men, numbering three hundred thousand in all. Banding together as a clan, they were subject to no ruler; maintaining themselves by law, they were neither violent nor disorderly—they were precisely the gentry (shi), hence it is called their birthplace.
