「復次諸外道言」下，第三破外道計空，又二：初正破執、次結同異。就正破又二：先別破八執、次總舉五大例破。初別破八執，一破空是光明、二破空是住處、三破空是次第、四破空在三處、五破空是可作、六破空在無閡處、七雙破兩執、八重破空是住處。

From "Furthermore, non-Buddhists say..." onward is the third section, refuting the non-Buddhists' conceptions of space, which also has two parts: first, directly refuting the attachments; second, concluding their similarities and differences. Within directly refuting, there are again two parts: first, individually refuting the eight attachments; second, generally citing the five great elements to refute them by analogy. First, individually refuting the eight attachments: first, refuting [the view that] space is light; second, refuting [the view that] space is a dwelling place; third, refuting [the view that] space is sequential; fourth, refuting [the view that] space is in three places; fifth, refuting [the view that] space is something made; sixth, refuting [the view that] space is in an unobstructed place; seventh, doubly refuting two attachments; eighth, repeatedly refuting [the view that] space is a dwelling place.
