From "Let the king now listen" onwards is the second, exhorting him to go to the Buddha's place. This also has three parts: first, broadly citing thirteen past events to exhort him; second, explaining the equality of the Buddha's mind to exhort him; third, assessing the merit to exhort him. In terms of sequence: those who committed evil in the past all saw the Buddha and had it eliminated; the Buddha's mind is impartial, not favoring the past and neglecting the present. In first listing the thirteen events, there are also two parts: first, properly listing the events; next, from "Great King, if you can" onwards concludes the intended meaning of the evidence. Next, from "Great King, the Buddhas, the World-Honored Ones" onwards is the second, explaining that the Buddha's mind is equal and without barrier. Third, from "Great King, suppose" onwards is the third, assessing the superiority of merit.
