From "Although nirvāṇa is blissful..." downward is the third part, analyzing and distinguishing. Distinguishing the previous four kinds constitutes four parts of the text. First, distinguishing nirvāṇa: because it is a distinct virtue, it is exclusively the bliss of tranquility and cessation. Next, distinguishing the Buddha: since he is a person and a person unifies the dharmas, he possesses two blisses: realizing nirvāṇa, he has the bliss of tranquility and cessation; having wisdom that illuminates objects, he has the bliss of awareness and knowledge. Third, distinguishing that since dharmatā is pervasive, it possesses three blisses. Fourth, distinguishing that the buddhadhātu of the middle way can be seen in the future, and therefore possesses the bliss of bodhi. This is spoken with respect to the direct cause.
