正道平等，本自清淨，豈有生死異於涅槃？特由眾生虛妄，執文求實，聞名仍不見其真，或云涅槃是有，或意是無，或言二諦所攝，或意出二諦之外，或意出生死無常，或意涅槃常住，因此謬造種種異計，便成繫縛，致有生死。

The correct path is impartial and fundamentally pure; how could saṃsāra be different from nirvāṇa? It is solely due to the false delusions of sentient beings who cling to the letter and seek substantial reality: hearing the name, they still fail to see its truth. Some say nirvāṇa is existence, or they intend it to be nonexistence; some say it is subsumed by the two truths, or they intend it to transcend the two truths; some intend it to transcend the impermanence of saṃsāra, or they intend nirvāṇa to be permanent. Because of this, they mistakenly construct all kinds of divergent views, which then become fetters and bring about saṃsāra.
