Sixth, Master Ying translated it as “peace and bliss” (anle). What is not peaceful is called saṃsāra, and peace and bliss is precisely nirvāṇa. Northerners say: parinirvāṇa translates as “entering cessation.” There are three kinds of entering: first, speaking in terms of reality, it means resting delusions and returning to the real, proceeding from cause toward fruit, and is therefore called entering; second, contrasting the real and the responsive, resting transformation and returning to the real is called entering; third, speaking only in terms of the responsive, it means abandoning the conditioned and entering the unconditioned, which is called entering.
