As for inequality: it clarifies that because nirvāṇa is neither named nor nameless, a name is forcibly established for nirvāṇa, and within this forced naming one discusses translating or not translating. How so? Because nirvāṇa takes the specific as the general, it is translated and yet untranslated; because nirvāṇa takes the general as the specific, it is untranslated and yet translated. Being untranslated and yet translated, it is also called 'extinction and crossing over' (miedu) and also called 'unburdened liberation' and so forth; being translated and yet untranslated, the three virtues are fully perfected and leave nothing uncontained. How could it be translated by a single meaning? Therefore nirvāṇa possesses both the general and specific meanings, and hence it possesses both translation and non-translation.
