1.12

但約此迷悟說凡說聖，假名生死強稱涅槃，令改凡成聖，捨生死得涅槃。既悟此本來不二、亦復不一，若於凡聖、生死、涅槃作一異解者，則障正道，名為「據語」。今破此一異等見，名為「開道」。

It is merely in terms of this delusion and awakening that one speaks of ordinary persons and noble ones, provisionally naming saṃsāra and forcibly calling it nirvāṇa, causing them to transform from ordinary persons into noble ones, and to abandon saṃsāra to attain nirvāṇa. Having awakened to this fact that fundamentally they are neither two nor one, if one forms a view of oneness or difference regarding ordinary persons and noble ones, saṃsāra and nirvāṇa, that obstructs the correct path and is called "clinging to words." Now, demolishing these views of oneness and difference is called "opening the path."
