第三冶城師云：佛果非世諦則是真諦。明真諦是諸法之本，但眾生顛倒起惑，構造生死，遂成世諦。今還修道，斷惑生死盡，世諦則滅。世諦既滅，還歸本真。譬如清水，本性寂靜，假外風漸鼓擊致有波浪，風若息還收本性。

Third, the Master of Yecheng states: The Buddha-fruit, not being conventional truth, is then ultimate truth. He explains that ultimate truth is the basis of all dharmas, but sentient beings invertedly give rise to delusions and construct saṃsāra, which ultimately constitutes conventional truth. Now, returning to cultivate the path, when delusion and saṃsāra are exhausted, conventional truth is extinguished. Once conventional truth is extinguished, one returns to the original truth. For example, clear water is originally quiet by nature; when stirred and struck by external wind, waves arise; once the wind ceases, it returns to its original nature.
