論心者雖捨無常識，獲得常識，涅槃以為體，但心為體。（但心有三：一、「六識心」緣外境，二、「七識心」緣內法，此二皆滅，唯第三「八識」唯真識覺知也。）

Discussing mind: although one abandons impermanent consciousness and obtains permanent consciousness, taking nirvāṇa as the essence, it is solely mind that constitutes the essence. (However, mind has three [aspects]: first, the "six-consciousness mind" cognizing external objects; second, the "seventh-consciousness mind" cognizing internal dharmas—these two are both extinguished; only the third, the "eighth consciousness," solely true consciousness, perceives.)
