"Furthermore, Mañjuśrī, if sentient beings are stingy, greedy, jealous, praise themselves and disparage others, they shall fall into the three evil destinies, enduring extreme sufferings for immeasurable thousands of years. After enduring these extreme sufferings, when their lives end there, they will be reborn among humans as oxen, horses, camels, or donkeys, constantly beaten with whips, tormented by hunger and thirst, and ever carrying heavy burdens as they trudge along the roads. Or, if they manage to attain human form, they will be born into a base and lowly station as slaves or maidservants, driven by others and never independent. If in the past, while among humans, they had once heard the name of the Bhagavat, Bhaiṣajyaguru-vaiḍūryaprabha Tathāgata, by virtue of this wholesome cause, they will now recall it again and take refuge with a sincere mind. Through the Buddha's spiritual power, they will be liberated from all sufferings, their faculties will become sharp and keen, they will be wise and broadly learned, constantly seeking the supreme Dharma and ever meeting good spiritual friends. They will forever sever the snare of Māra, shatter the husk of ignorance, dry up the river of afflictions, and be liberated from all birth, aging, sickness, death, sorrow, lamentation, pain, and anguish.
