2.16

爾時阿難白佛言：世尊！當何名此法門？我等云何奉持？佛告阿難：此法門名說藥師瑠璃光如來本願功德、亦名說十二神將饒益有情結願神呪、亦名拔除一切業障，應如是持。時薄伽梵說是語已，諸菩薩摩訶薩及大聲聞，國王大臣、婆羅門居士、天、龍、藥叉、健達縛、阿素洛、揭路羅、緊㮏洛、莫呼洛伽、人非人等一切大眾，聞佛所說皆大歡喜，信受奉行。

At that time, Ānanda addressed the Buddha, saying: 'World-Honoured One, what should this Dharma teaching be named? How should we uphold it?' The Buddha told Ānanda: 'This Dharma teaching is named "Exposition of the Original Vows and Merits of Bhaiṣajyaguru-vaiḍūryaprabha Tathāgata"; it is also named "Exposition of the Spiritual Dhāraṇī of the Twelve Divine Generals' Binding Vows to Benefit Sentient Beings"; it is also named "Eradication of All Karmic Obscurations." You should uphold it in this way.' When the Bhagavat had spoken these words, all the bodhisattva-mahāsattvas, the great śrāvakas, kings, ministers, brāhmaṇas, householders, devas, nāgas, yakṣas, gandharvas, asuras, garuḍas, kiṃnaras, mahoragas, humans and non-humans, and all the rest of the great assembly, having heard what the Buddha spoke, rejoiced greatly, faithfully accepted it, and practiced accordingly.
