問：此三身中何身所攝？答准所施化，即是化身。文殊在中，亦通報佛。應化非真佛亦非說法者，推功歸本即是法佛。由機不同一處見異，亦非定准。彌勒八相之尊，說者故成化佛，理通報法義亦無違。今顯主尊教隨最勝，初標勝主，令生喜故。

Question: Among the three bodies, under which body is this subsumed? Answer: According to the transformation wrought, it is the nirmāṇakāya. Since Mañjuśrī is present, it also applies to the saṃbhogabuddha. The responsive and transformative forms are not the true Buddha, nor are they the expounder of the Dharma; tracing the function back to the source, it is the dharmabuddha. Because of the differences in capacities, perceptions differ in the same place, and this cannot be fixed. Maitreya is a venerable one endowed with the eight aspects, so the expounder is therefore the nirmāṇabuddha; yet in principle it applies to the saṃbhoga and dharma bodies without contradiction. Now, to show that the master is supreme and the teaching follows as the most excellent, the supreme master is designated at the outset in order to engender joy.
