經曰「佛告優婆離」以下，第二辨中品生。此中二：一發願往生；二雖不願生，一向聞名得益。是初也。

From the sūtra's words 'The Buddha addressed Upāli' onward, this is the second part, distinguishing rebirth of the middle grade. Here there are two: first, making the aspiration for rebirth; second, although not aspiring for rebirth, single-mindedly hearing the name and obtaining benefit. This is the first.
