問：彌勒天宮為恒有不？答：一云：恒非有。若恒有者，便違經云「五億天更為彌勒造宮殿」。一云：菩薩天宮賢劫常有，以千菩薩同生彼宮故。今初說為勝。

Question: Does Maitreya's heavenly palace exist eternally or not? Answer: One [theory] says: it does not exist eternally. If it existed eternally, it would contradict the sūtra which states: "Five hundred million devas further created palaces for Maitreya." Another says: the Bodhisattva's heavenly palace exists constantly throughout the Bhadrakalpa, because a thousand bodhisattvas are born together in that palace. Now the first explanation is superior.
