經曰「若我住世」以下，第二歎勝。小劫者，一云飢饉等小劫。此解不然，飢饉等時極短，說凡夫果不可盡，況菩薩所有應。今云日月歲數劫也。

Where the sūtra states, "Even if I were to abide in the world," onward: second, this praises the excellence. Regarding "small kalpa," one explanation says it refers to small kalpas of famine and the like. This explanation is incorrect; the duration of famine and the like is extremely short, yet even the fruitions of ordinary beings cannot be fully described, let alone the responses of a bodhisattva. Here it refers to a kalpa counted by days, months, and years.
