什曰：現以大慈之手，撫慰眾生令不恐畏。是以常舉手向人，唱言勿怖也。
[Kumāra]jīva says: "He manifests a hand of great benevolence to comfort sentient beings and relieve them of fear. Therefore, he constantly raises his hand toward people, calling out, 'Do not fear!'"
