什曰：現此神變，其旨有二：一者現神變無量，顯智慧必深；二者寶積獻其所珍，必獲可珍之果，來世所成必若如此之妙。明因小而果大也。

[Kumāra]jīva says: In displaying this supernatural transformation, there are two purposes: first, displaying immeasurable supernatural transformations demonstrates that his wisdom must be profound; second, Ratnakūṭa offering what he held precious means he will surely obtain a precious fruit, and what he accomplishes in future lives will surely be marvelous like this. It illustrates that the cause is small yet the fruit is great.
