什曰：自恃深解，故生慢也。肇曰：雖解深義，未為心用，尊己慢人不能誨益。此學者之外患也。
[Kumāra]jīva says: Relying on their own deep understanding, they give rise to arrogance. [Seng]zhao says: Although understanding the profound meaning, it has not yet become useful to the mind; honoring oneself and slighting others, one cannot instruct and benefit them. This is the student's external affliction.
