生曰：犯律者必有懼罪之惑也。原其為懷，非唯畏苦困，已交耻所為也。
[Dao]sheng says: One who violates the Vinaya must have the confusion of fearing sin. In investigating their state of mind, they not only dreaded the affliction of suffering, but were already mutually ashamed of what they had done.
