汝行詣維摩詰問疾。優波離白佛言：世尊！我不堪任詣彼問疾。所以者何？憶念昔者有二比丘犯律行，以為恥。
"Go you to Vimalakīrti to inquire after his illness." Upāli addressed the Buddha, saying: "World-Honoured One! I am not competent to go there to inquire after his illness. Why is this? I recall that formerly two monks had violated the Vinaya precepts and felt ashamed of it.
