什曰：緣會無實，但假空名耳。若得其真相，即於假不迷，故名超越也。肇曰：萬事萬名虛假以生，道在真悟，故超越假名。

[Kumāra]jīva says: “When conditions meet there is no substantial reality; there are only provisionally empty names. If one grasps their true character, one is not confused by what is provisional; hence it is called ‘transcending.’” [Seng]zhao says: “The myriad things and myriad names arise falsely and provisionally. The Way lies in true awakening; therefore one transcends nominal designations.”
