摧諸外道　三伏外道也。肇曰。日月不期去闇。而闇自除。出家不期摧外道。外道自消　超越假名　肇曰。萬事萬名虛假。以生道在真悟故超假名。

"Destroying all tīrthikas;" / Third, subduing tīrthikas. Sengzhao says: The sun and moon do not intentionally expel darkness, yet darkness is naturally eliminated. Leaving household life does not intentionally destroy tīrthikas, yet tīrthikas naturally vanish. / "Transcending provisional designations." / Sengzhao says: The myriad things and myriad names are provisional; born of the Way, in true awakening one thus transcends provisional designations.
