3.55

肇曰：夫見難為難者，必捨難而求無難也。若能不以難為難，故能住於難；不以無難為無難，故不得於無難也。生曰：既入邪見便生八難，不得無難處也。順在已解邪見便得住八難，理中無復無難之可得也。

[Seng]zhao says: He who sees adversity as adversity will surely abandon adversity and seek freedom from adversity. If one can not consider adversity as adversity, one can abide in adversity; not considering freedom from adversity as freedom from adversity, one does not attain freedom from adversity. [Dao]sheng says: Having entered false views, one is born in the eight conditions of adversity and does not attain a place free from adversity. In conforming [to the real], having already understood false views, one can then abide in the eight conditions of adversity, and within principle there is no longer any freedom from adversity that can be attained.
