5.292

[Seng]zhao says: The designation 'unsubdued' comes from foolish people; the name 'subdued' comes from śrāvakas. The Mahāyāna practitioner fundamentally has no name or characteristic. If one wished to speak of being unsubdued, one would be the same as foolish people; if one wished to speak of being subdued, one would be the same as śrāvakas. Leaving both behind is what accords with the bodhisattva's practice of dwelling in the middle.
