5.62

肇曰：夫法身無生，況復有形。既無有形，病何由起？然為彼受生，不得無形。既有形也，不得無患，故隨其久近與之同疾。若彼離病，菩薩無復病也。

[Seng]zhao says: The dharmakāya is free from birth, let alone physical form! Having no physical form, how could illness arise? Yet taking birth for their sake, he cannot be without physical form. Having physical form, he cannot be without affliction; therefore, corresponding to its long or short duration, he shares the same illness with them. If they are freed from illness, the bodhisattva will no longer be ill.
