所以者何？菩薩為眾生故入生死，有生死則有病。若眾生得離病者，則菩薩無復病。
Why is this? A bodhisattva enters saṃsāra for the sake of sentient beings; where there is saṃsāra, there is illness. If sentient beings can be freed from illness, then the bodhisattva will no longer be ill.
