6.266

什曰：伏其德音，知其不常，然則未測其所乘，故問其志也。肇曰：上直云無得無證，未知何乘，故復問也。生曰：三乘同以無得為懷，故不知為何志也。

[Kumāra]jīva says: Subdued by her virtuous voice, he knew she was uncommon; yet, not fathoming which vehicle she rode, he asked about her aspiration. [Seng]zhao says: Above she merely said she had no attainment and no realization, so not knowing which vehicle, he asked again. [Dao]sheng says: The three vehicles all take non-attainment as their inner disposition; hence he did not know what her aspiration was.
