7.150

什曰：旨取其防非止惡，猶衣服可以禦風寒也。肇曰：慚愧障眾惡，法身之上服。生曰：衣服障形者，恥露其醜也。慚愧不為惡事，此之謂者也。

[Kumāra]jīva says: The intended meaning takes their guarding against wrongdoing and halting evil, just as clothing can ward off wind and cold.
[Seng]zhao says: Shame and conscience ward off all evils; they are the supreme garments of the dharmakāya.
[Dao]sheng says: Clothing conceals the body out of shame over exposing its ugliness. Shame and conscience not doing evil deeds is what is meant by this.
