或為邑中主，或作商人導，國師及大臣，以祐利眾生。諸有貧窮者，現作無盡藏，因以勸導之，令發菩提心。我心憍慢者，為現大力士，消伏諸貢高，令住無上道。

Or acting as a town magistrate, / Or acting as a merchant guide, / A royal preceptor or a great minister, / In order to aid and benefit sentient beings. / For all those who are destitute, / He manifests as an inexhaustible treasury, / Thereby admonishing and guiding them, / Causing them to arouse the bodhicitta. / For those whose minds are arrogant and haughty, / He manifests as a great wrestler, / Subduing all their self-aggrandizement, / Causing them to abide in the unsurpassed Way.
