注維摩詰經 7.24

7.24

什曰：雖迹與諂同，而實不乖正，所謂善方便隨諸經義也。肇曰：外現隨俗諂偽，內實隨經方便也。

[Kumāra]jīva says: Though their manifest trace is identical to flattery, in truth they do not deviate from the correct; this is called excelling in upāya that conforms with the meanings of the sūtras. [Seng]zhao says: Externally they appear to flatter and deceive in accord with worldly custom, but internally in truth they accord with the upāya of the sūtras.
