[Kumāra]jīva says: Because the mind lacks real substance, there is no illness.
[Seng]zhao says: If the body is separated from characteristics, then it is not a body; if the mind is like an illusion, then it is not a mind. Since body and mind are both non-existent, with what could illness conjoin? Because there is no conjunction, there is no illness; because there is no illness, it cannot be seen.
[Dao]sheng says: The body is fundamentally of disparate manifestation, so it is said to be separated from characteristics. The movements of the mind have no fixed direction, so it is said to be like an illusion. Since body and mind are non-existent, with what could it conjoin?
