[Seng]zhao says: Above, relying on correct wisdom to elucidate emptiness, fearing that the deluded might suppose that the meaning of emptiness lies in the correct and not in the erroneous, he therefore asks where the meaning of emptiness resides, in order to make clear that the erroneous and the correct are not different.
[Dao]sheng says: The explanation has truly already been exhaustive, yet those who are deluded still cannot have complete faith; hence he again requests to test these words so as to awaken them. Earlier, inferring the reality of the principle culminated in emptiness, and discrimination is also empty, so emptiness is devoid of characteristics. If one indeed takes emptiness devoid of characteristics as reality, where does one seek it to find it to be so?
