4.64

次第三門解釋來意。有二：一、約見以解。前品明其因行之體，因行增長能入佛境見於如來，故次辨之。二、就佛以釋。前品明因，因成得果，果體微隱寄見以顯，故須辨之。來意如是。

Next, the third gate explains the reason for coming. There are two: first, explaining with respect to seeing: the preceding chapter clarified the essence of causal practice; when causal practice increases, one is able to enter the realm of the buddhas and see the Tathāgata, hence it is distinguished next; second, explaining with respect to the Buddha: the preceding chapter clarified the cause; when the cause is completed, one attains the fruit; the essence of the fruit being subtle and hidden, it is revealed by relying on seeing, hence it must be distinguished. The reason for coming is like this.
