次第四門對上辨異。異有三種，已如上辨。一、化人異。前品化益眾香菩薩，此品化益娑婆之眾。二、起明異。前品明修自分之行，行修增長入佛境界能見諸佛，是勝進也。三、辨法異。前品明因，此品論果，果謂佛德。辨異如是。

Next, the fourth gate distinguishes differences in contrast to the above. The differences are of three kinds, as already distinguished above: first, the difference in persons transformed: the preceding chapter brought transformative benefit to the bodhisattvas of Sarvagandhasugandha, while this chapter brings transformative benefit to the assembly of the Sahā world; second, the difference in the arising of illumination: the preceding chapter clarified the cultivation of practice of one's own stage; when cultivation of practice increases, one enters the realm of the buddhas and can see all buddhas, which is superior progress; third, the difference in the analysis of phenomena: the preceding chapter clarified the cause, while this chapter discusses the fruit; the fruit refers to the virtues of the Buddha. Distinguishing differences is like this.
