三、觀行乘者，即是三乘之人修五停心觀、別相、總相念處，乾慧地之觀行也。故《勝鬘經》云：「三乘初業，不愚於法。」意在此也。

Third, the vehicle of contemplative practice: this is persons of the three vehicles cultivating the contemplation of the five methods of stilling the mind, and the specific and general characteristics of the stations of mindfulness—the contemplative practice of the ground of dry wisdom. Thus the Śrīmālā Sūtra says: 'At the initial stage of practice in the three vehicles, one is not foolish regarding dharmas.' The meaning lies here.
