三、明過三阿僧祇劫種三十二相業者，今謂此是入下忍之位。用此忍智，修行六度，成百福德，用百福德成一相。如是百劫，成三十二相之業因也。

Third, clarifying the planting of the karmic causes for the thirty-two marks beyond the three asaṃkhyeya kalpas: I now say this is entering the stage of lower forbearance. Using this wisdom of forbearance, he cultivates the six pāramitās and accomplishes one hundred meritorious virtues; with one hundred meritorious virtues he accomplishes one mark. In this manner, for one hundred kalpas, he accomplishes the karmic causes of the thirty-two marks.
