第一、釋三藏教名者，此教明因緣生滅四聖諦理，正教小乘，傍化菩薩。所言三藏者：一，修多羅藏；二，毘尼藏；三，阿毘曇藏。

First, explaining the name of the Tripiṭaka teaching: this teaching clarifies the principle of the four noble truths of arising and ceasing through causes and conditions, fundamentally teaching the Small Vehicle and secondarily transforming bodhisattvas. What is called the three baskets: first, the basket of sūtras; second, the basket of vinaya; third, the basket of abhidharma.
