3.79

諸論隨經，類之可知，《中論》偈云「因緣所生法，我說即是空」，此即詮真諦；「亦名為假名」，即詮俗諦也；「亦名中道義」即詮中道第一義諦也。此偈即是申摩訶衍，詮三諦理。若下兩品明聲聞經入第一義，此即是別申三藏教，詮二諦理也。

The various treatises follow the sūtras and can be known by analogy. The verse of the *Mūlamadhyamakakārikā* says: "Whatever dharma arises from causes and conditions, that I explain as emptiness"—this expresses the true truth; "It is also called nominal designation"—this expresses the conventional truth; "It is also called the meaning of the Middle Way"—this expresses the ultimate truth of the Middle Way. This verse explains the Mahāyāna, expressing the principle of the three truths. As for the two chapters below clarifying that the śrāvaka sūtras enter into the ultimate truth, this separately explains the Tripiṭaka teaching, expressing the principle of the two truths.
