第三、約四教位分別淨、無垢、稱位者，即為五意：一，約三藏教明淨無垢稱義；二，約通教明淨無垢稱義；三，約別教明淨無垢稱義；四，約圓教明淨無垢稱義；五，約五味譬以結成。

Third, distinguishing the stages of "Pure", "Stainless", and "Name" in terms of the stages of the four teachings has five sections: first, clarifying the meaning of Pure, Stainless, and Name in terms of the Tripiṭaka teaching; second, clarifying the meaning of Pure, Stainless, and Name in terms of the shared teaching; third, clarifying the meaning of Pure, Stainless, and Name in terms of the distinctive teaching; fourth, clarifying the meaning of Pure, Stainless, and Name in terms of the perfect teaching; fifth, concluding in terms of the metaphor of the five flavors.
