4.79

釋〈方便品〉，正用三藏通教。所以者何？明折法入空，因緣生滅無常；復說如夢如幻，體假入空之意。是則因中，用拙、巧二度，破其界內愛見著心，勸修二教之法身也。

Explaining the 'Expedient Means Chapter' precisely uses the Tripiṭaka and shared teachings. Why is this? It clarifies analyzing dharmas to enter emptiness, where causes and conditions arise and cease impermanently; it also speaks of being like a dream or an illusion, the purport of embodying provisionality to enter emptiness. Thus, within the stage of causes, one uses the clumsy and skillful crossings to destroy the attachment to desire and views within the threefold realm and encourages cultivating the dharma-body of the two teachings.
