5.147

三種解脫、三道、三識、三佛性、三般若、三種菩提、三大乘、三佛、三涅槃、三寶，亦復如是，皆不縱不橫，如世「伊」字，名祕密藏，名大解脫，即是《大涅槃》百句解脫，《法華》明一切解脫也。

The three kinds of liberation, three paths, three consciousnesses, three buddha-natures, three prajñās, three kinds of bodhi, three Great Vehicles, three Buddhas, three nirvāṇas, and three jewels are also like this: all are neither vertical nor horizontal, like the secular letter 'i' (∴); they are called the secret treasury and called great liberation; this is the liberation of a hundred phrases in the Mahāparinirvāṇa [Sūtra] and the liberation of everything explained in the Lotus [Sūtra].
