三、有師翻言綖者，此是因譬顯義，即與前結鬘義同也。又言「綖以縫成為能」，即是悉檀之說，能成三乘行人三義也。

Third, some masters translate it as "thread": this reveals the meaning through a metaphor, which is the same as the previous sense of garland. It is also said that "thread takes sewing and finishing as its capability," which means that the preaching of the siddhāntas is able to accomplish the three meanings for practitioners of the three vehicles.
