6.105

第五、通此經文者，如佛為寶積說佛國因果，即是當宗。下文雖不自說，而淨名即是法王大將，助佛闡揚因果正教，符成佛說佛國因果，斷物緣縛，令生佛國，成菩薩淨佛國土之行也。故室外品品皆有因果之說，室內品品亦有因果之說，出室亦有因果之說，皆符成佛國之教，著在此經文也。

Fifth, traversing this sūtra's text: When the Buddha explained the cause and effect of the buddha-land for Ratnakūṭa, this was precisely the central theme. Although subsequent passages were not spoken by [the Buddha] himself, Vimalakīrti was the great general of the Dharma King, assisting the Buddha in propagating the correct teaching of cause and effect, tallying with and fulfilling the Buddha's explanation of the cause and effect of the buddha-land, severing the bonds of conditions for beings, enabling them to be born in the buddha-land, and bringing to completion the bodhisattva's practice of purifying the buddha-land. Therefore, outside the room, every chapter contains an exposition of cause and effect; inside the room, every chapter also contains an exposition of cause and effect; and upon leaving the room, there is likewise an exposition of cause and effect. All of them tally with and fulfill the teaching of the buddha-land, as recorded in this sūtra's text.
