3.19

Although the meaning of "shared" has eight aspects, it is simply called the "shared teaching" because without relying on the shared teaching, one would not know the shared principle, up to realizing the shared fruit. Therefore, when people of the two vehicles attain the Path throughout the various Mahāyāna Vaipulya and Prajñāpāramitā sūtras, they all alike receive this teaching.
