Second, revealing the real true mark: what is clarified in the Mahāyāna teaching is spoken in accordance with the true mark of phenomena for the sake of sharp-rooted bodhisattvas, mostly clarifying the paramārtha-siddhānta. Out of great compassion, for the sake of sentient beings, bodhisattvas seek the unsurpassed path, not reckoning the number of kalpas, and deeply contemplate all phenomena; not stagnating in the two extremes, their single mind is constantly tranquil. Just as when water is clear and pure the form of the gem naturally appears, so they attain the true mark of all phenomena. Therefore, what is clarified in the Mahāyāna scriptural teachings contains the real true mark of all phenomena. The real true mark of all phenomena is precisely the inconceivable liberation of the true nature, the substance of this sūtra.
