Second, clarifying the gate of emptiness: this is the Tripiṭaka teaching clarifying the reduction of provisional and real dharmas of correct causes and conditions, their arising and perishing, entering into emptiness. If one receives this teaching, one can destroy the delusions of provisionality and reality, see the emptiness of provisionality and reality, and generate true taintlessness. Because of emptiness one sees the truth; emptiness is the gate to the supreme meaning. Hence Subhūti, in his stone chamber, contemplated arising, perishing, and impermanence, entering emptiness, and attained the path by means of emptiness, which is called seeing the Buddha's dharmakāya. It is feared that this is what is set forth in the Tattvasiddhi Śāstra.
